November focuses on reliability, clarity, and customization.
From faster, steadier performance to cleaner workflows and new ways to tailor your board, Cinapse gives ADs and producers more control with less friction.
This month’s release strengthens the foundation of the platform — stabilizing performance, refining the user experience, and adding more ways to customize how your schedule looks and behaves.
If you missed it, check out our detailed deep dive:
👉 Introducing Pre-Shoot Days & Multi-Unit Day Breaks
This long-requested feature allows productions to represent multiple units working on the same calendar day with different day counts — while still maintaining a single shared Day Break.
It’s a crucial step forward for multi-unit shows, pickups, and second-unit work, ensuring clarity without duplication.
You can now designate pre-shoot, main unit, and second unit days directly on the stripboard or through the Calendar Manager.
Every Manager in Cinapse got a performance and usability upgrade this month — built to handle larger, more complex projects even better.
Together, these changes make Cinapse’s core tools more stable, responsive, and intuitive, giving productions greater control at every level.
Assistant Directors move fast, and updating a schedule shouldn’t slow them down. The new Find & Replace makes it easy to search across every breakdown field and update text in seconds. If you need to rename an element, head to the Element Manager. Find & Replace is designed for text strings only, not full element objects.
✅ Clean up imported data from Movie Magic, SetHero, or Final Draft
✅ Update names, props, or locations globally
✅ Replace specific field data directly from the breakdown sheet
✅ Search by episode and scene
No more tedious line-by-line changes — just instant, accurate updates across your schedule.
Every breakdown now carries real-world context. Location elements now include maps and live weather forecasting directly on your schedule.
No external apps or an additional search are needed. Just open Cinapse and plan your shoot with full environmental context.
This month’s release focused heavily on stability, data accuracy, and quality-of-life improvements across the board. Over 100 issues were addressed to make scheduling smoother, faster, and more predictable.

✨ Weather Preferences — choose °C or °F, show/hide highs and lows, and display wind speed in mph or kph, with @sunrise/@sunset shortcuts in text banners.
✨ View-Only Permission — share schedules with ADs, producers, or department heads without giving edit access.
✨ New Production Creation Flow — a simplified, streamlined onboarding experience to spin up new projects faster.
November’s update reinforces Cinapse’s foundation — prioritizing stability, customization, and control for productions of every size. Whether you’re building a complex multi-unit schedule or producing a one day music video, these improvements make Cinapse faster, clearer, and more dependable than ever.
We’re grateful for all the feedback from the ADs, producers, and studios helping us shape what’s next.
Stay tuned for December’s release!
