This month we’re introducing Cinapse Production Intelligence: import a script and get Draft 1 of your schedule done fast. It ships alongside a full templates and presets system you can organize into folders and pull into any new production, plus a stack of customer-requested improvements.
You’ve read the script and thought about what it will take to make the film or series. Now you want to start scheduling, and the first real question is: how many days do we actually need? That answer drives the next one: what is our budget? And you can’t get to either until you’ve done your breakdowns and built a schedule.
At this stage, you need the big picture: what does each scene require, and how will those requirements shape the schedule?
That’s where Cinapse Production Intelligence comes in.
Opt-in when you import from PDF or Final Draft, and it builds your breakdowns in continuity order, writing a synopsis for each scene and identifying elements such as cast, props, costumes, special effects, stunts, safety considerations, and choreography. Everything is shown alongside the original so you decide what to use. That’s what it does today, with more to come.
Your script stays private: it’s processed under Cinapse’s enterprise agreement with Anthropic, which is contractually barred from training on it. And it’s always opt-in, our deterministic, client-side parsers for PDF and Final Draft remain the default. Read the full details in our Help Center →

Every AD builds a way of working, and now more of it is reusable. On top of layout templates and color palettes, you can save report layout templates, report presets, and element category presets. Everything is managed from one place in My Account under Templates & Presets.
As that library grows, a flat list stops working. Your templates and presets now organize into folders. Create them, drag to reorder, and rename in place, so you can group by show, by department, or however you actually work.
Spinning up a new production used to mean importing your layouts, colors, and templates one at a time. Now, every time you create a new production, you can bring all of your preferences in at the same time: stripboard layouts, report layouts, report presets, and more. Set it up once, and start every show with your preferences loaded in.
Breakdown sheet Merge Elements. Combine duplicate elements across your breakdown into one.
Category Templates. Save and export category setups to reuse across productions.
Configurable built-in categories. Set text case and section color on built-in categories.
Full-screen report preset editor. Edit report presets with a live preview on a mock production.
Weather and sunrise/sunset. Preferences and sun times on all banner types, extended 12 to 18 months out.
More report flexibility. Reports on boards without day breaks, and reports from any category type.
CSV export improvements. Scene in column A, decimal page counts, combined cast number and name, and two fixes, all customer requests.
Print Preview. The reports Print button is now Print Preview.
Updated privacy controls. New cookie preferences and privacy settings.
Bug fixes & stability: Movie Magic import improvements, upgrade and pause limits, background actor quantities now persisting even after importing a new version of the script, Reports Manager clock display time, MFA re-enable, and linked element sync.
