NEW Shooting Schedule CSV Report

You can now export your Shooting Schedule Report in CSV format. This creates a spreadsheet that contains ALL the data from the breakdown sheets in your Shooting Schedule.

Structurally, the spreadsheet contains one row per scene and one column per Breakdown Sheet data-field (eg. Scene#, Int/Ext, Cast, Background, Props, etc). Many customers have requested this file format to dramatically speed up their Call Sheet creation workflow. You can use this to quickly copy/paste the relevant data from your breakdown sheets into your CS or any other document you need to get out.

The CSV looks like this:

UX Improvements

  • One-liner report cast list columns.  Cast list now wraps to three columns before triggering a page-break. Should fit all cast on first page for most users.
  • Improved text-banner experience.  We put all editable text-banner data-fields on one section in the Left-Panel when modifying the text-banner. This increases speed so that you can just {tab} through all the fields and input Notes, Est. Time, etc. faster.
  • Added tooltips.  Added hints that reveal upon hover to Start-of-day banner icon, and text-banner icon with hotkeys.
  • Faster strip-data-updating.  We sped up the updating time for strips for displaying Background Quantities and newly created built-in elements (eg. like new Sets, or Script Days). Previously, the strip wouldn’t update until after you dragged the strip. Now it re-renders in real-time as the data changes.
  • Prevent users from accidentally creating duplicate elements.  We found a bug where the “+Create” element action was visible to users when they had typed in an exact match to an existing element. This was creating unintentional duplicate elements in the file.
  • “Sort strips’’ hotkey is now {Cmd + Shift + O}.  We changed this hotkey from Cmd + O because in Firefox this would trigger a browser action.

Bug fixes

  • Fixed “duplicate stripboard” bug that was causing Day 0 daybreaks.  For users who duplicated a board between Friday, June 7 - Saturday, June 8, there was a temporary bug in the system that would cause all daybreaks to display as “Day 0” both in the stripboard and the one-liner report. We have since fixed this bug, but if you are still experiencing this, you need to — delete the board that produces Day 0 daybreaks —. Email us if you still have this issue and we can assist with your file.
  • Fixed daybreak page-counts totaling incorrectly.  For all users who are noticing page-counts not adding up correctly (eg. It’s incorrectly summing what’s UNDERNEATH the end of day break, instead of above it) — follow these steps:

    1. Go to your Layout Manager
    2. Go to the Layout you have on your board
    3. Go to “Daybreaks”
    4. In the lower portion of your screen you’ll notice a dropdown menu in the upper-right corner called “Daybreak type”. If this field is empty, click it and set the daybreak = “End of Day”. This will correct everything.
  • Fixed report-filtering by Date Range.  Filtering reports by date-range / shoot-day range was temporarily disconnected. We have fixed it.
  • Fixed report-filtering by Element.  Same issue as above. Filtering by specific cast, or set, etc was temporarily broken. We fixed it.
  • Hotkeys in stripboard sometimes not working.  Found a bug where the text-banner was focused in a manner that disabled hotkeys. Therefore, using hotkeys while you had a text-banner selected would either do nothing or cause strange pasting behavior. Fixed this, it shouldn’t be happening anymore.
  • Text-wrapping in strips now works again.  Found a bug in some files where text-wrapping was not being respected. This should be fixed.
